# Introduction

Graphs are preferred to tabular form because it makes it easier to understand data.

# Frequency histogram

A **frequency histogram** is a frequency distribution of rectangles, whose widths indicate class intervals, and whose heights correspond to particulate frequencies. For example, location (displacement) with respect to time:

The horizontal axis shows the time in seconds, and the vertical axis shows the displacement in meters.

# Frequency line graph

A **frequency line graph** (also known as a **polygon graph**) is a graph which connects the plotted values of the graph with a broken line.
